The Illinois Muskie Trail is uniquely set up through the cooperation of existing Muskie clubs throughout the State. Each club, hosting it's own tournament. The host Club of a qualifying tournament has ownership with the tour. At the conclusion of their tournament the host club would forward to the Trail the names and addresses of those winning, plus the names and address of those entered in order that the Trail headquarters might maintain qualifying points. We anticipate naming a Trail Champion and a Runner-Up based on total points earned from the Trail, including the Championship tournament and also an Illinois State Champion and Runner-up. These awards will be made during the 2004 Chicago Muskie Show with news media present. Ties for the Trail Championship will be broken by total inches of fish caught during the Trail. We certainly hope that you will consider this exciting new tournament format for the Illinois Muskie fisherman. |
